Changelog

What changed in MyCareGuard, month by month.

Every month we collect what changed in the product and explain it the way we would on the phone: what changes for your file, not how we built it. Last updated 2 October 2026. MyCareGuard is software, not an inspector; it keeps the policies, the staff evidence and the log.

October 2026

Staff seats see only their own records, and sign-in is easier to recover.

A tidy-up month after a round of testing. Most changes make seats, sign-in and small screens behave more clearly.

NewWhat's new

Resources

  • Five plain-English guides for registered managers. A resources section on mycareguard.uk: CQC notifications, medicines in home care, what training the law requires, recruitment checks, and how CQC scores and rates a service. Every point cites the paragraph it comes from. 2 October 2026

ImprovedImprovements

Team

  • Staff seats see only their own checks. A staff login now sees its own checks and contact details, not colleagues' DBS or right to work rows. Controls a read-only seat cannot use are no longer shown. 1 October 2026
  • Owner and registered manager in one option. If you are both the provider and the registered manager, you can now say so in one choice. Billing points you to About you instead of saying your role is not given. 1 October 2026

Inspection pack

  • Clearer feedback when you build a pack. The dashboard says plainly what happened when you build an inspection pack, and the pack page shows the last one you made. 1 October 2026

Accessibility

  • Larger tap targets on public pages. Buttons and links on the public pages and link-error pages are now at least 44 pixels high, which is easier on a phone. 1 October 2026

FixedFixes

Sign-in

  • Password on My profile and easier resets. You can set a sign-in password from My profile. After a reset, the Sign in page is filled with the address you typed. 1 October 2026

Daily board

  • Setup checklist stays until setup is done. The checklist on your dashboard no longer disappears early. Notification switches that only matter to groups are hidden on single-home accounts. 1 October 2026
September 2026

Your whole register in one place: staff, checks, references and policies, with homes grouped together.

The biggest month so far. Staff and checks are now one register, the home page tells you what to do next, and groups of homes get their own view and billing.

NewWhat's new

Group view

  • My homes for groups, with group billing. Groups get a worklist of overdue and due work across all homes, with Compare and Cards views. Homes in a group share one free trial and are billed together, with cancel and pause in the app. 24 September 2026
Open: Group view →

Sponsor licence

  • Sponsor licence page for managers. If your service holds a sponsor licence, managers can switch on a Sponsor licence section. It adds duties to your Home list and nav badges. 24 September 2026

Staff files

  • One Staff & checks register, with employment references. Staff and pre-employment checks are merged into one register, and a new Add someone screen asks for the right to work route. You can also request and record employment references, including ones you already hold. 22 September 2026

Governance

  • Duty of candour record and audit action tracker. Record a duty of candour event and see it closed when you finish the steps. Actions from your checks are kept in a tracker and included in the weekly digest. 12 September 2026

Free check

  • Five-question governance check and a page for your service. Take the free CQC governance check without signing up. Providers on the register also have a public page that carries their details into sign-up. 11 September 2026
Open: Free check →

Policies

  • Local authority safeguarding contacts. Pick your local authority and its adult and children's safeguarding contacts are printed in your safeguarding policy. 4 September 2026

Training

  • Training by job role, with outside courses recorded. Each person is given the training their role needs. You can record courses taken elsewhere, and the training matrix appears in your inspection pack. 3 September 2026

Setup

  • Set up from the CQC register. Setup fills most of your service details from the CQC register. You then write your Statement of Purpose and generate your policies in one go. 2 September 2026

ImprovedImprovements

Policies

  • Policies rebuilt as an index and detail view. Policies are grouped by CQC key question, with one page for each policy and its history. The Home page was rebuilt to show your status and what to do next. 23 September 2026

Sign-up

  • Faster sign-up. You no longer have to enter a name and password to start. A single secure link takes you straight in. 21 September 2026
August 2026

August was spent on groundwork you will not see on screen. One change reached customers.

MyCareGuard is software, not a legal adviser or a CQC inspector; it does not give legal advice. This page describes what the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, the CQC’s published guidance and the other named documents say, with the paragraph for each point, so you can read the source yourself. Versions and dates are those in force on the date shown; the documents change, so check the current version before you rely on any of it.

Policies, staff evidence and the incident log, together and current.

Each service’s policies, training matrix, DBS and right-to-work dates and audit trail on one page. £99 + VAT per service a month. 30 days free, no card.
